Hey there, I am leaving tomorrow to go to Charlotte and then flying out West to stay with some friends for a couple weeks. Im planning on coming back for Easter and making it to the Safetysuit and secondhand serenade show in Greenville on April 11th!!!
This week's second picture is the front of a really nice Northern Italian restaurant that I dined at with some friends in Charlotte this past weekend, and I thought the picture would help me remember that night.
The top picture and James Morrison's song really go hand in hand in my opinion....It is of the Cathedral at Belmont Abbey in the rain, taken from my car window.
Many people seem to hate rain and the weather that comes with it, but I feel the opposite.
I love the rain and im not gonna lie, I often roll my windows down in my car when its raining and just stick my head out of the window while driving. Some of you may think this sounds gay but the concept of getting married in the rain is strangely appealing to me as well. Listen to the bridge of Miss California by jack's Mannequin and I think you will know what I mean.....ha

Homework haha.


Hi there, my friends. I Kinda have a bit to say this week and for that I apologize.
I drove around Charlotte last week and applied to several jobs there for next year. I am
seriously considering trying to do lateral entry and teach middle and eventually elementary school.
I Applied to a few Catholic schools and we will see what happens...
On another note, a friend from my parents' church started a new steakhouse/music venue this week in Rutherfordton so I applied and I got a temporary job there to help out and kill some time etc.
Its weird since I havent worked in a restaurant in about 3 years....

This past weekend I also went to Lake Lure with my sister since my dad is trying to start a new Charter school there and he had a meeting to raise support from the local community. It had an incredible atmosphere and really made me proud of all that he has done for education in this area. Afterwards we went around the lake and thats were I took those pictures.


OK so music.... I found like 4 new artists this week and they are all new additions to my collection. Safety Suit is an amazing new rock band, who is actually touring with Secondhand Serenade and will be in Greenville on April 11th. I already have tickets obviously...
Lisa Hannigan was featured on the Colbert report last week and she performed this song. She has a really pleasant and unique sound. Run Kid Run is a new Christian rock band, with several good songs. Search the City is another Christian band who I found on Itunes as well.

Paris Mountain Sunset

My pictures this week are just some random scenes from my life in the past week or so.

The top one is an amazing dock at Lake Lure, NC where I went on Saturday in the 80 degree weather that we were blessed with. The second one is my shadow from the top of my roof, and the 3rd is during the sunset on Paris Mountain after it snowed in Greenville last weekend....

The music this week is even more random than the pictures.....I have about 10,000 or so songs in my Itunes library and I often put it on shuffle. Here are some great songs from my collection that I have been reminded of recently.

3-3 Closer to Love

My pictures this week are pretty random to be honest....The top two are from Sugar Mountain in NC, where I went with Danny and Dave and Lane on Monday. YES those are shortened ski's called SNOWBLADES....no one seems to know what they are, but they are a hybrid ski's which are about 3 times as fun as skiing in my opinion. I have way more control and speed.

The third pic is what is playing on my Iphone pretty dang frequently....You can read what it is for yourself...

The last is St John the Baptist's in Tryon which I have been attending the past couple months.

The church and Priest are quite amazing.

I picked some random songs from my collection this week....Mat kearney, likely the best live performer I have ever seen, is coming out with a new cd and Closer to Love is the amazing new single off of it. Fm Static is a Christian rock band, and this is one my favorites from them.

I have seen the Format twice in concert and this song, she doesnt get it is really upbeat and fun.

Weezer's old school stuff far surpasses their new stuff, and island in the sun, is arguably their best song in my opinion. Michelle Branch is my favorite female artist and her song, one of these days, is utterly amazing. When I was working for City Year, we had a talent show and one of the Senior Core members performed this song and I have really loved it ever since....
