Well hello there readers. I hope you are having a wonderful week and a nice beginning to the summer. I took my last final exam ever yesterday and its quite surreal. I am saying my goodbyes to the stage of my life that is college and saying hello to the first day of the rest of my life. Although I am very excited to start anew, there are a few elements of Furman, Greenville and the past four years which I will miss. The Furman Belltower, Falls Park, Paris Mountain, St. Mary's and St. Anthony's churches, the Furman Ampitheatre, and Clubhouse are just a few of the things that will be remembered. I hope I will go out into the world and make a difference, help others and find happiness in accordance with God's will.
So anyways, I hate goodbyes.....Especially to people who I care about a lot. Ioften would rather have a song express my feeling rather than having to say it myself, so I have provided some goodbye songsfor your enjoyment and use.

Week 8 - Thankyou songs
Hello readers,
Thanks for reading this blog and supporting my work. In this tough world in which we live, it is often very easy to take our many blessings for granted and get bogged down in what we dont have instead of focusing on what our many blessings are. We should be so thankful to live in our comfortable country, to have internet access, to have computers, to have access to amazing music and to have a God who loves us for who we are. Therefore this week I wanted to focus on songs of thanksgiving and appreciation to God and to others. Whenever we get sad or feel low, we need to remember all that we have been given and how blessed we are. I hope you enjoy these songs and have a great week. Just click on the links next to the song titles to listen and enjoy.
1. Paul Wright - Thank you http://www.myspace.com/paulwright (song only on Itunes)
2. Sanctus real - Thank you www.sanctusreal.com
3. Gavin Degraw - I have you to Thank www.gavindegraw.com
4. Bon Jovi - Thankyou for loving me http://www.myspace.com/bonjovi (song only on Itunes)
5. The Calling - Thank you http://www.myspace.com/calling (song only on itunes)
6. Ryan Cabrera - I will remember you www.myspace.com/ryancabrera
My apologies, the songs this week seem to be almost exclusively on itunes, and not on purevolume or myspace. Therefore please just go to itunes to preview them, and they are all amazing!
I hope you enjoy and count your blessings!
Until Next week
God Bless

Week 7 - Future: I dare you to move
Hello friends, sorry im posting this late on tuesday. I hope all of you are doing great out there this lovely spring evening. My cousin, Johnny M. came down to Greenville this past weekend and we had a blast. We went to falls park at 3am and jammed out on the waterfall with my boombox, and yes I mean the middle of the waterfall on the rocks =). We saw the movie 21 which was quite amazing and stirred me up inside because I felt I could relate to it in many ways. For example, there was a really gorgeous girl in the movie and she reminded me of one of my friends, who I used to have a huge crush on ;). All in all though My cousin and I had a great time and we talked a lot about our futures and our vocations which inspired me to write about this week's topic.
Anyways, So I am at a crossroads in my life right now, graduating from college and not quite sure what Im gonna do with my life or where God is calling me to go. I am looking at maybe volunteering with the Americore but not sure at all.
Anyways my future seems to be hanging in the balance, and this week I wanted to share some songs that make me think about the future and inspire me. I have so many can be applicable but I chose these 9 which I feel cover a wide spectrum of ideas. They pertain to a few different areas of life and of our futures. Dare you to move, Before its too late and the world aint slowing down, dont slow down, and dont wait are all songs which encourage us to seize the day, take action and find our calling. Sooner or later, Kings in Castles, famous, and wouldnt it be nice, are all optimistic songs about having sucess in love and life in the future. Heaven forbid by the Fray is the one standout of the group this song encourages us about love and tells us to "hold on tight, wait for tomorrow it'll be alright." The theme song of this week is Dare you to move by Switchfoot and it is one of my all time favorites. I hope you enjoy these songs.
1. Switchfoot - dare you to move http://www.myspace.com/switchfoot
2. Goo Goo dolls - before its too late http://www.myspace.com/googoodolls
"stand on the edge with me, hold back your fear and see, nothing is real till its gone"
3. Michael Tolcher- Soonerorlater and Kings inCastles http://www.myspace.com/michaeltolcher
4. The Beach Boys - Wouldnt it be nice http://www.myspace.com/thebeachboys
5. Copeland - dont slow down http://www.myspace.com/copeland (just on itunes)
6. Dashboard Confessional - dont wait http://www.dashboardconfessional.com/
7. Paul ellis - the world aint slowing day (Only on itunes)
8. The Fray - heaven forbid http://www.myspace.com/thefray
